But you can judge for yourselves - as I post pics of what I believe to be "my sane" thoughts, made into reality, that others thought I had just lost a few more marbles on.
"And I see 15 of you looked while I was at dinner, you know who you are and I do not! The rest here will never have any idea what I am talking about. It will be our little secret."
On to the business at hand:
First offering goes back to the early 90's when I started doing some Dirt Oval racing out in Highland. This lead me to make a mold for the RoadKill Outlaw dirt oval truck body. After racing dirt oval locally for awhile I went to a JG Dirt Oval Race in Bakersfield, Ca. Had a great time and decided I was going back the following year for some more. But reality was sunking in after this first race and I understood that my winning an upper main race was not very likely.

Concourse of course - so a few weeks before the race the little gray cell firings in my skull took shape as a scratch built aluminum tub cage interior that fit into my RC10 with some RC10T tube parts thrown in - RoadKill truck Conversion. 90% of this is scratch built, out of material laying around the shop of make body patterns, Gauges, camera and other graphites were done in corel draw and thin printed on our HP Laser Jet 3P. Gauges were turned out of plastic rod stock, seat is a .035" piece of sheet aluminum, driver is a rubber wrestler toy re shaped with and exacto, body panels making up interior is .020" styrene. Shift light is a red LED that was wired to a aaa that would light up when connected and I believe the drivers head is a Tamiya piece - maybe out of a frog or? A few details of the construction and some of the materials used.
It is a little worn now, but still fun to look at and remember the crafting of it.

I did get first place that year with the truck and interior. Interior fit over a six cell pack and all the electronics, because to keep the trophies all cars entered had to be able to race as entered in the concourse judging. After four or so laps I pulled it off the prepped for my next race - the Z main I believe it was. Hope you enjoy this small offering.
