so while I was hunting down some parts for my velineon 3500 motor. I was checking the exploded views of the motor and noticed that the bearings listed to go into the motor are 5x11x4. The problem is every rebuild kit i see says 5x11x5. Any ideas on whats going on?
also, after looking at the parts list, it also makes no mention of a 5x11x5 bearings too.
on a side note, after seeing traxxas prices in their book. my hobby shop now seems cheap. albeit still higher than online distributors.
got a local that has rebuilt a few velineon motors. He says they are easy enuf to rebuild but the old bearings he showed me weren't anywhere near that size

Peace and professionlism.....Kabunga signing off!!!
Yeah, they use the typical size of 5x11, ones you posted, key difference though, is that they use a high-speed metal shielded bearing. You can get away with the typical rubber sealed bearing, but it's not going to last very long.
This build was originally inspired by a readers ride in RCCA. I added a Proline Baja Bug body (short version) not the short course one. Also some side guards for the inside were fabbed up as well as the rear body mount. I dug up some NIP 2.2 Proline...

This is the Velineon VXL3m Extreme Brushless Power System from Traxxas.
This is for the 1/16th scale VXL from Traxxas and will fit many other 1/12-1/18 scale rc's and boats.
Ya think I could mount this up to my rc-10 gold pan car? Its the old one...

Ummm well yes it will fit :) I bought one almost by accident as I thought it was a 540 sized motor. Imagine my face when the little 380 popped out of the box. All it took to work was lining up the bottom hole and then putting a washer on the top...
I tired my Novak 10.5 in my 10T yesterday and it was pretty quick but I don't like how it sounded. I'm not sure if it was the slipper (B4 assy) inside the case. I know when I rebuilt this one, I did not change out the bearings (which were old) - all...
I have an old RC10 that I am trying to get road worthy again. I want to replace the bushings with bearings. I need the bearings for the front wheels, and transmission. Can someone tell me what size bearings I need. It is a 3 gear tranny.
Thanks.

Thanks the front wheels from my B2 fit the RC10 perfect, so I am gussing un flanged bearings. I am hoping to get this old girl up and running again. I hope I can do as well as the poster with the 10T. Old cars can still win.
I have a gold pan RC10 with the 6 gear tranny. The chassis is stamped A . The parts manual I have says that the car uses three different size bearings in it.
1/4 x 3/8: four flanged for the rear wheels, and one for the transmission.
3/16 x 5/16:...

Oh man...I forgot about RCBOYZ. I have boughten from them in the past. I got my bearings from Boca bearing Co. I think I paid WAY too much. Live and learn I guess.
i tried searching tower for some of these bearings to use b2/b3 cvd's on first gen rc10s, and i cant find any.
ae part #9277, which also brings up nothing on tower.
i found the correct bearing on boca's website. i was just thinking maybe one of...

Justin - No problems at all, I wanted to clarify the comments. Appreciate the post. Rule of thumb in my book is try out all the bearing companies and go with what you like, I know I did so I started a company, lol :)
