Re: Masami RC10 Replica / '88 JMRCA Nationals?
as i always say, new/better pics will always show up.
pheonix posted a link in the yokomo forum about Masami. if you have time, check it out:
http://www.hirosaka.co/index.php?route=product/category&path=64
on one of the pages, there it was. coverage of the race, the All Japan Nationals in August 1988, and a bunch of pics of this car which won the 2wd class.
but.......
there was also a race earlier in the year, the Reedy Spring International in April of '88, held at the site of the '87 Worlds in Romsey, England. the pics aren't the best of that event, but it looks to be the same car. so it may have multiple wins under it's belt.

Hmm...very interesting, you guys were pretty spot on in your guess for time and place for the car.
I suppose he was running yokomo universals?
And it's very possible that the pictures he sent you on facebook were of the same car, just updated a bit since that race, since most of the car is very similar. Either way, your gonna have to cut out a new rear shock tower

Re: Masami RC10 Replica / '88 JMRCA Nats Winner
yeah, there's quite a bit of things that'll need to be changed to make it right.
i had thought the same thing about the pics that masami sent me of the car a couple pages back. but if you look at the pic with him surrounded by all his cars and trophies, the car i'm replicating is on the bottom row on the left (circled in red). the pics he sent are of a car to his left (circled in blue).
