Don't care for the flipped front shocks, but man I have some major envy of this build. The extended length and different steering is really cool, can't wait to hear more about how it drives.

Thanks... I appreciate that. There is A LOT of thought into this... It sure was a lot of testing, trying, doing and retrying and re-doing x10 - a lot of different parts.

One thing for sure... It is super easy to remove the shock tower. You don't have to take anything off except for the top of the shocks. :D

the other interesting thing about this, is that the tower feels twice as rigid than it does mounted the other way. Don't know why this is except that the mounting screws are wider and a tad higher up.

I totally think a B3 tower is going to look better than this one, hopefully I will have one soon. I placed a B2 tower up against it for reference just so I could see what it would look like and it is aesthetically better looking.

This is a better pic I think... The tower doesn't dominate in this photo like it did in the other pic.

While at my favorite Hobbytown, I'm walking around and I notice that if AE makes a part, pretty much this Hobbytown carries it in stock... So I look in the body section, and sure enough, one of the new Viper right there ready for me to purchase. Its nice I don't have to order everything from Tower sometimes.

Old is New... Well since we are making old cars new, this will get a new style paint scheme on it!

Interested to see how well the body fits with the truck nose plate position.

I think i would trim it down to sit behind the tower, good bet that the height of the body would be lower than the tower. maybe make the paint match the tower at the edge then fade to w/e color you using.

maybe im wrong though

Sonic: I put the Mirage Body from my other runner on it and it fit fairly well.... Its a tad short, but I wouldn't complain too much about that considering the Viper body is about a 1/4" longer. It should be right up on that front tower:

DMAT: I'm going to use my traditional colors of Orange, white and blue like what my profile pic is... Except that car has regular flames painted on it, I'm going to paint Tribal Flames on this car.

Don't know how well you can see the mask on it. but going to post these up anyway, Yes, its freehand:

Just for reference, these are a couple of my old bodies I painted... Only difference is that I outline the flames and windows with silver now:

Kinda like this minus the Flags and outline in silver not gold:

I can't wait to hear how this runs. If you think it rivals a new car I might switch my old ce to something like this instead of buying a new worlds 4.1 with big bores.
