6220 versus 7221 (B3/T3) Axles

6220 versus 7221 (B3/T3) Axles

Anyone got both of these on hand or know how to explain the difference? I would love to know what they did to the 7221's because they sure look real similar. A side by side photo would be awesome.

B3/T3 axles are slightly shorter than the 6220 axles.

By about a 16th if I recall correctly, just enough so the shoulder sits inside the plastic stop on a 6221 carrier-
