Post by Synergy »

Just snapped these up, not sure who they're made by but they look alot like the ones fitted to the odd YZ10.

those look like the AE/Yokomo wings to me. The kimbrough wings I have are square finned with rounded corners and deeper with less vibrant colors. Either way you look at it they are very nice. Not sure what you paid for them but are pretty much sought after so you did good 8)

Small world, it was me that bought the orange and green ones Synergy! Take it you got the gold?

Anyone know if these are nylon/dye-able? Might try turning one black if so.

the one I tryied to dye didn't take too well. Tried dying a faded ugly red to black and it didn't turn out so good. Might if you boil the heck outta it while in the dye but since I only did the simmer thing I couldn't tell you any more about it....

Thanks, from memory they always started off with a fairly glossy finish which does make me doubtful dye wise.

The seller had one orange and one green left so I bought one of each including a gold one.

They look good to me on many of the 90s buggies, yz10, bosscat, cat 2000 etc. Mine will be used on the rc10 runner i'm hoping to race.. Though may keep one back of each colour just incase.

Todd definitely not Yokomo as their colors are not so vibrant ( I have pink, orange, white and black only other one missing is a light lime green color that I know of and I have a picture of that one). I had a AE badged pink and it was close to the Yokomo in color.

The shape looks different than the kimbrough...looks like yokie shape, but like Al say, way richer in color than any of mine (gold!! What!) The trim and centering lines would be the tell-all- maybe Academy wings?

Yes, kidding :D

I've got a Tomy Intruder project that will be getting one of them, one will go on an RC10 of some description (probably my Tekin) and the other probably on my 870C.

I think and hope that the Academy wings have the name stamped on the wing plates.

The Academy wing I have has the name embossed on the endplates and except for that looks totally like a Yokomo wing.
