Re: Optima Runner - now with painted Losi body
That's great, really looks unique...but how did you mount the battery, or are you using a shorty LiPo? The stock Optima mounts the battery transversely and I doubt that'd fit under that skinny body. And tell me about that bumper brace, is it custom-made?

It holds a 6 cell stickpack Nicad, even has 0,8 mm play at each side

The bumper brace is homebrew and made from white nylon.

The only thing missing Dennis is a wing, at least that’s my opinion.

Re: Optima Runner - now with painted Losi body
My optima is still naked at the moment. But I considered a Losi body for it also: the TLR22 one. To be more precise :
this TBG edition:

I'd need to fit saddle packs for the width, but the undertray that comes with it looks like it'd be just the ticket for the optima.
Do you run an underplate, or some other kind of protection for its belly?

I kinda like the Durango DEX210 body, like this one (the paintjob, not so much):

I agree with You - I´m just running a little behind on the wingsHcp22 wrote:The only thing missing Dennis is a wing, at least that’s my opinion.

The TBG body looks cool, will pose nicely on an Optima.Mr. ED wrote:My optima is still naked at the moment. But I considered a Losi body for it also: the TLR22 one.

For belly protection, I´m going to fold a piece of 1mm lexan plastic.

Update -
Moved the Losi body to an other Optima and sprayed a TBG body to match the yellow rims.

That looks sharp! Great overall color combo. Are the black lines painted or pinstripe tape? Either way, that's a beauty!

Re: Optima Runner - now with painted Losi body
I have a beagle thats awaiting the same treatment, so you guys have given me some great ideas. Im wondering about the under tray for the tbg tlr22 though. Is it half done like the mid and rc10 trays?
