RC-10 Hot Trick Oval Chassis

Post by rangerg »

I haven't seen one of these before. I assume it to be an oval rc-10 Hot Trick chassis. I have the standard rc-10 Hot Trick chassis and this is made of the same TriDirComp :-) and the holes match up perfectly. It came with a red battery tie down and plugs (not pictured). I can't find this in the Hot Trick catalog I have or online. I wasn't sure if it was Hot Trick because of this, but I'm almost positive now - unless someone has other ideas?

I know the red on red picture is a little much, ha.

It's a Hot Trick chassis. The center holes at the back are for mounting the HT direct drive axle.

Yes, it definitely is, and that confirms it, but I have never seen an oval HT one for the RC10.

I've seen the ads for it in the RCCA scans but don't remember the dates of the issues.

Here's the direct drive axle:

...and this is the HT Oval tower:

Towers can be used front and rear.

Thanks for the info. Phin. I see what you mean by the direct drive axle now.

Was this recently on ebay? I swear I just saw one and it had a red fiberglass brace that connected to the two holes on each side of the slots to hold the battery in place.

Wow, good memory Phin. I even have that issue. I have those parts for the chassis, except the clips. Thanks.

Yes, it was on the Bay. I got it for the rc-10 Hot Trick arms, I wasn't sure of the chassis. It has the brace and mounts (just not in the picture).
