Does this work with the AM version of this radio too? After seeing these threads, I really want to show up at the track with a 20+ year old radio, lol!!

I believe I read somewhere that AM can be converted as well. It was great tossing the gold pan on the track and walking up to the stand with my old school PCM radio, converted of course :)

Orangemazda, I dont have a spare battery cover, sorry.

I am trying to decide if I want to go with PCM with a module, or just get an AM or FM and do the kit.
The PCM's I am finding are pretty beat and I have access to a mint AM for dirt cheap.

I am also seeing what appears to be different versions of PCM's. Some have one knob to the right of the steering wheel, and others have 2. Any insight into this?
