Easiest way to spot em original bumper or not.

More caster and the front stops digging in the ground basiclly what yokomo did to YZ-10

When ever you see an pic of an lazer with no mark ( kyosho ) on the front bumper
then you might suspect that it has this mod.

I'm not sure I understand the "more caster" bit. Caster would only be increased if the front mounting point of the wishbones was raised, right?

Since the arms are mounted to the front gearbox and when you lean the gearbox backwards you get the benefit of more caster and the front from digging in the ground.

Ah. Does that mean the screw holes in the gear box have to be redrilled, or is is purely a combination of a shorter top deck and some shimming that makes the mod possible?
