Re: B4.5
Are you allowed to mod those tires in any way per the rules? (Someone mentioned so mods BK was doing to the rears to cure some of the side bite issues the rearbar drag tires have) And, hey- you make an new rack with different ackerman settings there or am I seeing things?

Re: B4.5
No we can't modify the tires in any way. I tried modding the rims to widen the tires, and flatten them out. However my CA must have been a little too old as they blew off the rims within a few laps. I picked up some fresh CA, reglued, but ran out of time before the track closed. I will be tring them on friday. And no, you are not seeing things
. I have two different styles that I have been running. This (the first one) is pretty good so far. It also still has the original holes too. -Jeff

Re: B4.5
isnt the BK "mod" to the tires to wear them down (lowering pin height), makes them "walk" less?

I believe that there was a trimming of the sidebar section to put additional pressure on one particular side bar too-JK Racing wrote:isnt the BK "mod" to the tires to wear them down (lowering pin height), makes them "walk" less?

Re: B4.5
bringing this one back up top,
I took my T4 chassis in to the workshop area at work, they are going to use the bandsaw and chop it down for me.

Re: B4.5
This is a very cool thread. I wished that I had the expertise and know how to machine stuff like you guys do.
Let me ask you guys.... what is your background? Engineers? I am a finance guy and can only calculate how much these projects cost.

Re: B4.5
when I get to it, I am planning on an RB6 body. I think the +8 worlds body should be okay, I think the T4 chassis is +10 over the standard chassis. I dont want to use the AE based bodies due to the narrow chassis I am working with.

Re: B4.5
Judging from the manual on the B4.2, the shock towers are the same part number, they may be making a running change only to accommodate the larger bore shocks (no grinding). No forth hole on the rear tower that I can see. The 12 mm hex is new oem, but the most important is the new slipper!
