How to mount a front sway bar with the wide arm setup?

Post by RC104ever »

For the later cars that had the wide track arms, how can you mount a sway bar? What did AE do to mount the front sway? I can still mount a rear one with the stock rear arms but just wondering about the front.

By the time the wide arms came out there was no sway bar. You could fab one up pretty easy but there were no factory holes in the arms

Really? So there wasn't a factory setup for a front sway bar with the wide arms? Weird. I have an idea on how to do it but I just thought I'd ask.

I fabricated one for my RPM arms but I wanted to do something for the stock wide arms too.

I'm sure the dirt oval guys had some cool setups....

Yeah, I would check there too... Although, I "think" the hot setup was the narrow arms.

The late TQ10 manual shows how to do it! Simply drill holes on the front of the arms in the same place as the short armed version! 8)

I didn't realize the TQ10 ever came with wide arms. Interesting!

Why did AE stop including it in the kits? Was it something racers would routinely add?

when the rc10 6 gear graphite came out, the tq10 received the same updated parts. but when the rc10 came out, no one wanted the tq10 anymore and production was stopped. so, there were alot more short arm cars built.

there was also 2-3 versions of the tq10 chassis as well.

This is from the late TQ10 (wide) manual! Sorry these pics suck but you should be able to get the required info from them!
