That's what I thought as well, but I can scrap the black off. I can't scrape the red off.

I think the red you see on the bottom is just overspray is from the red on the outside.

I have seen aftermarket molded red, blue, and yellow BF body but it was a diffrent model name. I think it was a knock off. It looked exactly like the original BF body just in different colors. Your pics make it look like yours is painted red because the body lines and cowl vents look like they have black in them.

I did just find the body in blue. http://www.rc-airplane-world.com/tamiya-srb-series.html probably well known by the rest of y'all already. The Bf body was a carry over from the ford xlt ranger on the superchamp platform. Maybe there was a red edition for that model.

Oh maybe the red body I have is from a knock off. I didn't think of that.

Mine looks like it was painted red in the pics, but it wasn't. The guy I bought it from did a really poor job painting the udner side of the body and the area in the cowl is black paint. He was trying to "lightly" paint them so you could still see the red ribs between the slats in the cowl. The body lines are all red just doesn't look like it in the pics.
