Flying T4. Freaking Really?
Well, yesterday my 7 year old daughter and I were out on the maiden voyage of a T4 I put together for her. All considered went well. It was getting dark so I put her truck in the back of the pickup and hooked up my 5th wheel I needed this morning. Normal Sunday night chaos with showers and finding clothes for the week. This morning I left the house for Kansas City at 5 am, dark and very foggy. After 3 hours of driving just north of KC something caught my eye in the mirror. WTF, on second glance the T4 was floating in my bed. It tumbled and somehow wedged between the tailgate and the bottom of the trailer. It was still shaking and I could tell the 65mph wind was holding it there. It was four miles till the next exit. As I pulled of the interstate I must have only slowed 5mph and over the gate it went. I looked out the side mirrors just in time to see the tandem trailer tires make a ramp out of it. As if I didn't feel like a douche already I stopped and ran back the exit ramp 100 yards to get it. Well the front is flat but the brand new Castle speedo, motor and lipo are unscratched. Well I need to sneak it back in the house when I get home Friday and get it rebuilt before she see's it.

At least you realized it! You could have not seen it happening and lost it forever!

I bet a cab-forward body would have kept this from happening.
At least the electronics weren't damaged. I wonder if the LiPo would have exploded if it was ran over?

Once the pickup tailgate got left open. . . while my Rustler and Rc10 were in the bed! We got lucky that day.
. . . you have Associated Green Slime for brains. And not even new Green Slime, but old gooped out Green Slime.

Re: Flying T4. Freaking Really?
I have them back there all the time, although at slower speeds. I was fine until I was heading South. There was a SW wind at about 30, me going 65 so 95 mph wind and I bet the fifth wheel changed the airflow also. I also realized that it was my sons old Evader ST. T4 is still at home, though the electronics are good so no big loss.
