Re: Pinky project...
For starters I'd brace it up a bit
I have seen some cheap carbon fiber strips in the local hobby stores, it would be pretty easy to run a pair from then rear bulkhead side bolts to the nose tube area, like the A&L brace did.

Wow man...Looks like you're in for a really good time, except I didn't see a new chassis tub.
Keep us posted on the build.

A little different than dirt, but the basics should be the same.REMJ666 wrote:...Carpet oval...

Re: Pinky project...
Try to split the difference, if you have any other blocks. A lot would have to do with the bite you're getting, and corner radius.REMJ666 wrote:To use 30 degree cast blocks or 5 degree caster blocks on the car ??? It will be run on a carpet oval...Any advice would be greatly appreciated...
Most carpet is pretty high bite, so get some laps in and start with shock settings before playing with caster or camber. Are you going to run the standard buggy shocks, or short ones?

Re: Pinky project...
Those are my choices for now...I will rebuild the gray team car shocks and use them...I have a front buggy spring kit and those choices are blue , white , green , black and brown...I was only able to buy blue springs for the rear because that is what they had left...They had a huge blow out sale and that is how i got alot of the parts...Found one set of b3/b2 for 3/16 axle [ mip cvd kit ] so i will get the duratrax front evader wheels and nitro evader rears for now...Did you buy those RPM wide arms new from them or did you already have them ????

Re: Pinky project...
It's hard to say without getting on the track. As far as springs, start with the blue on the right front. I'm also using brown on the left front, but I'm on dirt. Tires will also have a lot to do with it. Since you're on carpet, I'd go with purple or white foams. I think you'd get a lot of snap roll with rubber tires. That's about all I can say, until you get some laps in, and report what's it doing.
