These are from Radio Race Car September 1985. Darren Harris was one of Associateds team drivers in the UK at the time and all their cars were lightened like this and the wheelbase shortened.
Nick and Jane Adams were well known in the UK and were importers for the RC10. Their RC10s were identical apart from Nicks being dyed blue and Janes dyed pink. Hows this for battery cooling.

My question is this, is there a noticeable difference in handling, runtime, speed, or anything else by removing material like that? And I mean besides excessive chassis flex (from some of the more extreme examples of hacking )?
