New to the forum
I have an old RC10, I believe 1992. Stealth transmission with bushings. I was bashing around with the old stock motor and ended up breaking the front shock tower, right bellcrank and linkage. I'm not surprised as the car is stock and has been sitting in the box for 15 years. Turns out, the front shock tower is still available from Team Associated, so thats good to go. I ordered GT bell cranks to replace the old. I'm upgrading the tranny to bearings and upgrading the rear hubs to B4 and the shafts to B44 CVD's. The front is B4 from the carrier blocks on out to the wheels. Ordered a castle 1406 and sidewinder esc to speed it up. I'll try and get some pictures up of the old girl that I beat on when I was a kid. I'm starting to get back into it. Probably mostly bashing, but potentially some racing as time marches on. This has been a great forum so far, and I look forward to hearing some suggestions.

Re: New to the forum
Welcome to the forum, I am a new around here too. I am currently updating my B3 and have already installed a sidewinder VS2 and the 4600KV motor, waiting on the lipo battery, charger and new 2.4 radio, should be here next Tuesday. Please post the progress on your car as I have just scored a vintage RC10 CE and will be updating it to modern specs and will be interested to see how yours turns out.

Re: New to the forum
Here are the currently updated pics. The wires are a mess and the body isn't painted, so I didn't show it. Had to unfortunately replace my old AM radio this weekend. Bought a cheap Spektrum that does the trick.

Re: New to the forum
Thank you. Bad news today. Busted one of the original ancient front A-arms. Ordered the RPM arms, should have them next week sometime. Every time I have taken it out since I began upgrading it, I have broken something within five minutes, and each time, it was a minor, low speed bump into something. I guess these old parts aren't what they used to be. Not much left original after this.

Re: New to the forum
Does boiling the parts bring back some of the resiliency of the plastic?

Re: New to the forum
I got most of my upgrades finished at this point. Custom made sway bars made out of music wire. .55 in the front and .62 in the rear. I just wish it was a easier to get this car to sit lower without compressing the shocks most of the way. It already has a good deal of abuse on it from testing, bashing and the track. Drilled holes in the rpm arms on the rear to put the ball studs in for the rear sway bar. Let me know if you guys have any suggestions.
