Re: so, I am going to race this thing...Mark II
Hey suby56, I too am in MN and had stopped by MMR a few weeks ago. I hung out for a few hours and had a great time (My 10 year old daughter had a great time being a corner marshal). My RC10 is no where near race level but I may try to run it there a bit just to have some fun. The guys that were there at MMR were great and very welcoming. I brought my car along and they let me out on the track between the heats. My run was short lived as my diff nut was totaly worn out so it loosened and my motor shifted on a jump so I shut it down. I have since rebuilt my shocks and got a new diff nut, but I haven't been back. I'm not in town for this weekend, but am hoping to be there sometime in December. Might be cool to have a couple of Vintage RC10s there. Some of the guys took a look at my RC10 and were making quite a few comments (they had never seen one before).

Cool,
I hope to catch you there.
Just for the record for anyone thinking of doing this kind of thing, this thing is raceable. One of the regular buggy drivers gave it some laps, and although it needs some tweaking, it would be able to compete against the new stuff. But, I need to practice alot more before I can say the same for myself. Hopefully I can improve my skills and really race this soon and put up a good showing for the RC10 fans.
The only other improvement I would like is one of those rccarbon works rear towers that are drilled for the b4 wing mounts. Fellow walks up "hey, I think this is your wing, man" "oh, yeah, thanks".
