Been wanting a Progress for a long time.
So when this came up I quickly snapped it up. It was descibed as New Built but it has been run by the were of the tyres. I say one battery but not a scratch on the belly of the chassis or bumper.
Has no shell but TBG do one so that will be order. Pitty it's so nice as I really want to drive it. Maybe on grass. The 4 wheel steering is well done. I plan to polish all the metal parts. Shock collars aren't broken and not leaking oil. Came with a new Le Mans 360ST too.
Nice!
Have a Gallop 1 I plan to work on this winter.
Have You-G F/R stabilizers for it.
Mine just needs a thorough clean up and then it's gonna get ran!
Have you seen the old Kyosho videos?
Should be a fun one to run.
Mike
Interesting that the parts in front of the brass bars are red....mine were black. As for the collars, they're not made from the same material as the optima collars. They're more like the ones used on the Raider.
Those are great cars and I've had the pleasure of restoring 2 of of them. Other than the chain, there weren't any other parts that were carried over to the optima.

saw this stunning buggy in person yesterday roger, one is red the other is black. out of curiosity did any progress kit come with gold shock bodies or was that only on gallop's? what colour are you thinking on the body mark?
I spoke to the original owner & he claims it's never been run. The tires do have a little wear . Like one Battery through it. The MSC has some arching marks on the silver contact plate. The belly of the chassis has not one mark on it. The motor has no solder on the brush hoods. Com is a little dark but maybe just oxidation on it. Then again it is a option motor ( Le Mans 360ST) as they came with just the stock 540 can.
Never got to ask about the body & what happened to it ?? Why is the torsion spring retainers different colours ( one red & other black)
Are the gold shocks original spec or a running change before the Gallop.??
All this is just history of the old girl just happy to have it. I have a Gallop lined up & should get over my X mass break from my mate. That really leaves just the MK2 to get.
Not sure what colour for the shell but box art might be the go!!!
My Gallop 1 has non anodized shocks, bought from original owner, not run much at all.
Talk about some hard to find tires, have been looking and looking. Mine were dry rotted.
Am going to try different rims-tires.
Mike
Both of the Gallops that I've owned had the gold shocks. I beleive there was an earlier version of the gallop that had the silver shocks and red nerf bars. This may also apply to the other red parts in front of the brass bar. This shocks and nerf bars can be seen on the box....but the front tire covers the other part.
