If that's the case, my RPK must mean I have the wang of a flea.

that's for a man that's had the bobett treatment.

i've shot one of those, rediculous. i'd never want one thats for sure.

my favorite calibers:

pistol, .45 & .357 (7.62x25 is a blast as well)

rifle, 7.62x39, 7.62x54r, .308 and 5.45x39

Went to the range last night with my new S&W 357 and had a great night! Put 200 rounds through, a mix of 38 and 357 mag ammo. And my wife came too, her first time shooting a handgun ever and she had fun! She mostly shot 38 but she did a few turns with the 357 mag, I was so proud!

Now she is talking about going again and what else she wants to try (and maybe buy)!

How's the trigger on it? I used to own a Smith & Wesson Performance Center model 19 with night sights and a hard black finish (and side expelled muzzle porting) anyway, the trigger on the performance center gun was 10#, but butter smooth from start to finish where most 686 or stock 19's were like a radio set up with reverse exponential..very firm start to easy at trigger break.

Not sure I can track as well as you with the terminology since I'm still new to this, but in single action mode it is a very easy and quick pull almost a smooth slide backwards. In double action mode it's a looong and hard pull until it's nearly all the way back and then behaves the same as single action mode when I cock the hammer?

I'm very very happy with my purchase though. The S&W exudes quality and felt great, plus shooting 38 ammo in single action mode it is dead accurate (for me as a beginner at least) and very easy to put a tight group together on the target.

Double action mode shooting 357 mag ammo on the other hand...

Yup, In double action. Practice in DAO (Double action only) let each trigger break (moment the hammer falls or "shot") surprise you. Then you won't dip, pull or react before the shot breaks.
