ran my gt/sc today and noticed the home made chassis is super soft, after a few super harsh landings, it looked like a banana!
really bummed i havent realized this before, i propped the truck against my thigh and just pushed down... not the most accurate way to flatten a chassis but it just flexed back into place, without much force
so i was wondering if anyone was willing and able to duplicate the plate in a more rigid and thicker material, perhaps t6? i can send the stock plate and the extend weak chassis for templates. the original is way more accurate and not bent to hell, and the extend chassis for the length. pretty simple to cut, i could probably do it with a drill and vice, being that its just flat plate, i want to duplicate the raised sides of the original pan to add some flex resistance to something at least 3.5 mm thick, and duplicate the front kick up... and machine some of it out to get some weight off...
dont know if people would be interested in a more durable nitro sc/gt1 conversion, or even one at all, but the truck has been a fun project for me and i kinda want to keep it going for myself, with 1/8th scale strength.
who can machine 7075? chassis project...
