With traxxas' trans case hole pattern design staying relatively close I wonder if you couldn't just throw on one of the new aftermarket transmissions for running. I know it wouldn't look original but it would be tough

The TCP is somewhat different from the preceding and later models: it has the moter tucked in a bit closer to the diff. And this reflects in an ever so slightly but plan-breaking different hole pattern.
It's also slightly different in the front and using a similar design but different dimensions bulkhead

Well, then only other help I can offer is a brand new in pack delrin Thorp "cheater gear" for the top shaft. Not sure if it fits or what is a "cheater" about it..but if it helps you it is yours.

Is that just a normal Delrin Traxxas gear for the SRT/Blue Eagle?

you take 2 rubberbands of the right width and put these in the beads, run a little superglue around the edges and they're ready to take the 2.2' tires.
Or you use the kyosho CVD's and hex-wheels.

Can someone do me a favor. Can someone take a picture of the TCP shorts arm, long arms and the SRT arms placed next to each other for comparison?
