Are White JConcepts Rulux White??
Just received some White J Concepts Rulux wheels but they appear to be more of a pale blue grey colour is this normal. The other wheel is a JCRacing white for comparison
And this is how it starts

Re: Are White JConcepts Rulux White??
Sadly it's normal. I have a set that is pure white, and another set that has almost a purple hue to it

The JCRacing wheel looks more like off white. All the JConcept wheels I have bought are all bright white, like what you have pictured.
Here is picture of my latest JConcepts wheels.

Fronts have now arrived - a lighter shade of bluey-greyness than the rears - perhaps I'm just too fussy.
Good excuse to try dying them.

I hope they do - there's a couple of you tube's with people doing them.

They look the same wheels except yellow not white(ish).

I just noticed that yes, some look white, while some kinda have that HID blue look.

Re: Are White JConcepts Rulux White??
It's been a while since I built that car, so I don't recall exactly how long I let them soak. I dyed several other parts at the same time and I’m sure I just kept them in the pot until I was good with the color. I’ve had issues before with parts not getting black enough and having a purple hue. The good thing about black is that you can’t really overdo it.RichieRich wrote:aeiou - How long did it take to get the wheels black?
On a similar note – I purchased a set of the yellow B4 Rulux wheels a while back to match a set I already had (I can’t recall if I already had the fronts or the rears). Anyway, there was a significant color difference between the front and rear sets. Out of curiosity, I sent JConcepts a quick email about it and they offered to send me a matching set at no charge! Very impressive customer service.
Re: Are White JConcepts Rulux White??
What do you need to do to run Rulux wheels on the front of an RC10? I assume you need the usual 2.2 upgrades to run the rear rims.

Re: Are White JConcepts Rulux White??
You don't *need to do anything to run the front B4 wheels, although the offset is more inboard than the old 2.0/2.1 wheels. If that bothers you, you can run GT front axles which are wider and correct the offset.
