Re: RC12E Race Car
Finally had some free time to work on the rc12 , it really just needed a good cleaning . I just removed the electronics and tires and gave everything a wipe down with a rag and q-tips . Organized the wiring and resolder some of the bad connection's . Looked at the manual a few times but can't figure out where the antenna is suppose to be mounted . Also started on the Ferrari body , it probably took an hour and half to mark the four holes . Between lining up the wheel wells and holding a flashlight underneath to see the bodypost . I'm pretty much lost without the dimple marks for the body post . On the box cover , did they use decal's on the body or did they paint it . Hopefully , I can get it running soon

Re: RC12E Race Car
Thanks , I've beening using your builds for reference . Question about the wiring , I would like to run it on the 4-cell , does the positive pin 1 and 2 have to be jumped on the male battery connecter ?
Pin 3 is negative to resistor to motor and receiver
Pin 2 is positive to resistor and to diode then pin 1
Pin 1 is positive to receiver and diode
There is also a green from the diode's that leads to white on the receiver battery plug , want to make sure it's correct before I plug in the battery , thanks in advance .

Re: RC12E Race Car
Here is the schematic, using the proper jumper connector on the 4 cell it will properly change voltage to the receiver automatically. Basically it just shorts pin 1 and 2 but its on the battery side so it isnt permanant. BTW, I have the part numbers for the amps connectors and pins if you need them. Digikey stocks them
