Same as the World's Car on the rear...6824 2.15 PL Flat Stubbies. Front are 6877 PL Edge initially, but I think they went to 6878 4 ribs just before the B3. :?

After looking at it, are you certain that Associated and Proline used the same part numbers for the tires? I seem to remember they did not and what you provided appears to be AE PNs.

Any further help would be appreciated.

The front tires that came standard with the RC10B2 were Proline 'Front Edge' Tires XTR Compound. I cannot find a Proline PN for these tires but the Associated PN is 6878 (The Proline PN for the 'Front Edge 2' Tires is 8145).

The rear tires were the same tires that came standard with the RC10 Worlds Car and they were the Flat Stubbie Tires. Proline PN for these tires is 8086.

Hope this is of help.

Vin

Sorry Jay, I was using the manual, not the parts list. In fact I don't have the parts list for the B2. Or a B2. :(

I have a question. Did the B2 first ship with 6852Y "TQ" front wheels? (eight rib/flanged bearings), I was looking at the original test (and ad) and that's what it shows...but the manual lists 9480Y, which are six rib with plain bearings as the p/n. :?

Yeah, I downloaded the manual and that is what I was using. I figured it would be a heck of a lot easier to search for the Proline part numbers versus the associated part numbers. You rarely see proline parts packaged with associated tags/numbers (not saying I haven't seen them.... just more of a chance in finding them as PLs).

Just a FYI:

AE still has (ok, maybe had) 6878's on clearance for $4.75 plus $8 shipping...but that covers as many sets as you want. They are true 2.2's which are sloppy on the 2.1" eight rib TQ wheels, but fit the 2.15" six hole delrin Prolines and six rib "B2/B3" wheels fine. Now I wonder what tires the original B2 came with on the front... 8015's? See my previous question regarding B2 wheels.

I dug up a 1996 AE pictorial catalog and they don't list a PL ref number on the 6877, but they do list the WC fronts with the 8015 PL number... :? I've got an RCCA best of 1997 mag somewhere that has a multi page PL catalog in it...as soon as I can dig it out I'll have the number for you.

You're welcome, sir!

Just found my old PL catalog:

Fronts: 8015 PRO-15 XTR for a 2.0 (or 7015 PRO-15 for a 2.1)
Rears: 8086 PRO-86 XTR for a 2.15 (same as RC10 worlds)

Thanks guys!

70XX just means XTM I think. 8015 were WC fronts on 2.15 wheels. So, the early B2 uses WC tires front and rear?

:?

Can you tell I'm on the hunt for a B2 yet? :o

My catalog says.... 7000 Series, Original XT Compound...... 8000 Series XTR Compound. Nothing about XTM.

I am trying to finish my B2 resto.

Which wheels are you using on the front?

Ok, 70xx are rock hard, 80xx are just hard...

I set of yellows that I picked up from my LHS. The header card said they were for a B2 (I didn't save the header card). They measure 2.25in OD and are 0.75in wide. Going box art (as I seem to with everything these days).

Look at the backside of the wheels on the box... eight ribs, right? Looks like flanged bearings too, right? But the manual (at least the AE pdf) shows otherwise. Maybe their online manual is an evolution version.

I'm confused. :?
