If you get stuck on these let me know. I have plenty of nice cells should you want some.
Thanks Jason, i might take you up on that at some point if i can't get them more local It's funny, when i first started collecting old rc i used to hate it when sellers included cells. They add so much weight to the postage costs, but now i'd love a few nice sets

I am thinking of fitting full electics, but finding cells in good condition has not been easy so far. I have a Futaba S9401 coreless servo to fit which is period as i used in in 1990 I also have a Tekin 411P2 esc but i think these were about 1993? so a bit out.
Paul.
Original Tekin 411 is 1992, so 411P2 maybe one or two years later. Correct Tekin would be a Tempfet or Tempfet Pro but these are not easy to find. Novak T1 or T4 are easier to find.
Do you have other vintage ESC to choose from?
I have a Tekin 410K which is too late, a Nosram F1 a Futaba 210 and a Speedmaster Silverstar. The Silverstar would be more period correct, but it's just the look of them i don't like...

The Speedmaster ESCs were very popular with racers in the UK during this time - a Goldstar (Fwd only) was my first ever electronic speed controller that I brought second hand when I first got my TopCat - it served me well until the brake FETs blew - but I still have it and I will prob install it into my 'new' TopCat Luckily the Goldstar is about half the size of a Silverstar as it doesn't have the 'clicking' reverse relays
Just purchased a topcat but it needs a few parts What is the best alternative to the original crash back front suspension bands as it currently doesnt have one ?Any help appreciated

TBG does, but I don't see any right now. I am actually mounting one up right now, I stupidly cut the front arches on the side wrong but it will look OK when I am done.
Been looking for a nice Topcat for a while, and couldn't resist. Composite Craft chassis.
All is new with exception of the wheels and front tires. Polished Kyosho gold shocks.
Question to the Schuey guys here, what...

Im glad everyone likes this example of what I consider to be one of Schumacher's sweetest looking buggies. While the design left it behind on the race track back in the day the guys who designed it were definately looking to turn heads (and I...
I am working on a mid motor Topcat project I have nicknamed Topcat X . I have cut the chassis from aluminium and am currently in the mock up stage. Some things I am playing with are connecting the front rockers with turnbuckle links, new...

While browsing tamyaclub, I encountered this:
It is hard to say anything sure about the rear toe-in, but the rear wheels seem to point straight enough :) The rear end seems to be somewhat fragile and unstable. Perhaps an top deck is needed for...
Ok so I was at the local track today for a shake down of my 22 and I decided to bring my Topcat along for some vintage action. Another guy was bombing around with his giant Baja truck. I was trying to stay clear and do my own thing but I seemed to...
i am currently looking for any vintage paint templates or vintage pics of pro driver's paint schemes for schumacher topcats. Any input appreciated !
