A local shop that I have dealt with in the past said that several years ago they threw away tons and tons of vintage Tamiya parts and just took a write off on their taxes.
I always laugh when I hear shop owners say that they won't cut me any deals becuase they plan to put the parts up on eBay. They have no clue what a hassle the whole ebay process is.
