Happy Halloween - Showoff your Craziest RC Ride
In the spirit of Halloween, I thought it would be cool if RC10talk members would post their craziest Frankenstein RC creation. We all eventually give into temptation when faced with a box of random spare RC parts. See mine below (RC10 with Tekin chassis, Dual Sport front end, Reedy TI Motor, Tekin Rebel ESC, Airtronics Receiver and Servo, Losi Bell Crank, Sanyo NiCd battery, and massive Kyosho foam tires). , HAPPY HALLOWEEN:)

Re: Happy Halloween - Showoff your Craziest RC Ride
Well, its not all that crazy but I did get tired of my Bolink Legend sitting in a box waiting for a short wheelbase body, so I cut a new front plate to make it "normal"

the closest thing i have to a "crazy" build anywhere near completion would probably be my original B1.5. the unfinshed 2nd version is a little more out there, but remains in pieces.

Not mine, but a B3 I ran across a few years ago that has a very unique look. This conversion never made it past concept as far as I know.

Re: Happy Halloween - Showoff your Craziest RC Ride
I forgot I took pictures of this, it was back in the late 90's iirc...whenever the kyosho QRC came out. I had a mountaineer without a gearbox so I made some adapter plates to slide in a QRC and a Ofna .15 with low profile head. Sorry about the bad pics, they are all I have left of it

Re: Happy Halloween - Showoff your Craziest RC Ride
wow, there are some crazy entries already
Here's my best crack at it. My RC10 thingy, not sure if it's a RC10 or 10T or what, but it's crazy fun to drive. Composite chassis with a narrowed front, 10T arms and shocks, tall buggy front tower, J82 front wheels, quick change rear axles, 10T rear paddle tires powered by a Mamba Max 5500

I had a Box Art RC10 get out of the house, run down the street, and mate with a 10T/OIN mix. Only one puppy in the litter

Re: Happy Halloween - Showoff your Craziest RC Ride
I'd like to get a better look at what they did to the rear end. I can't imagine a single shock pod design being very effective at all, but I'd still like to see it. I can't quite remember who made it, but they made a really innovative touring car. That's what I was looking at when I ran across this. They only had 2 pics and both had the body on. If I have time later this weekend I'll try to find the site. I posted it somewhere in these stacks, but it's probably buried pretty deep by now.limestang wrote:Theytookmythumb - thanks for sharing the awesome B3. I would love to see that mod available!
Any more crazy looking rigs anyone??
