Question regarding PayPal
How many days a transferred payment through paypal clears in the bank account?
I have a weird transactions in other forum, when I transfered the money and asked for the update of shipping date, this is the reply I got.
"as I said once your payment clears my bank account Ill head to my post office to ship out the car.
If the shipping is more Ill delay shipment and let you know how much more Ill need,
if it is less Ill refund you the money and have the car sent out."
"If the shipping is more Ill delay shipment and let you know how much more Ill need" this statement worries me more as this was not mentioned when I asked for the shipping fee before our transaction.
Now back to my question, as I do not have idea of paypal bank clearing.
Thank you for the input.

Re: Question regarding PayPal
i takes 1-3 days for a paypal transfer to show up in a bank account, mine have always taken 1 day.
but that's bs, the $$ is in his paypal account, that means he got paid. how long it takes for the $$ to transfer to his bank account is not your problem. sounds fishy for sure.

Re: Question regarding PayPal
Recently I received a few payments that came in like an e-check. There was an authorization but the payment has not cleared. I am not sure how this happens but as a seller, I will not ship until the payment clears. In fact you cannot print a shipping label from the transaction until it clears.
The payments I have received this way take approximately 3-5 days to clear as mentioned.
One good thing about Paypal is typically the buyer is at a better advantage then the seller. I have not seen very many problems that were not resolved with the buyer coming out ahead.
The shipping thing is screwed up and I would contact the guy explaining you guys had already worked out the shipping fee. If he does not agree, I would cancel the transaction immediately. If he does agree that he will honor the orginal agreement, give a few more days to see if the payment clears.
You have exactly 45 days to open a dispute and as soon as you do file a dispute, the amount you are disputing is automatically frozen in the seller's account.
I hope this helps you out.

Re: Question regarding PayPal
assuming he still has it in his account. not trying to worry you on this but worst case scenario it can be passed to his account and then withdrawn to his checking account and then withdrawn from that within 3-5 days. Always a good idea to check up on seller feedback no matter where you are dealing from. Good luck.bigjeepzz wrote: the amount you are disputing is automatically frozen in the seller's account.

Re: Question regarding PayPal
As Jake mentioned, if the buyer decides to use the eCheck option, that payment will languish in Paypal's bank accounts for up to 10 business days before it gets released...all the while accruing interest for Paypal, no doubt. For a while, every payment had to be eCheck and you can only imagine how much money Paypal raked in just from interest as all that money was held in limbo for up to 10 days.

Re: Question regarding PayPal
Thanks for the insight guys!
By the way minor update he informed me that the money is in his account now.
"The money is in my account. Ill be packing the car up tonight and send it out tomorrow. Im still owrried about the postage, I hoipe the 50 covers it. Ill advice if it is more".
I'm a bit reluctant answering his pm regarding the shipping fee as in my thoughts, If he really wants to scum me he will scum me whatever I say. So I'll wait for his pm again. If he will ask for additional fee, I will ask for my money back. And hope it will end as simple as it is
I will never cross with him again, I hate this kind of deal.
