Post by GoMachV »

Just picked it up, came in a neat case for easy transport 8) very clean and came with all the original boxes and spares, even uncut decals. I can't wait to get started cleaning it up.

The Tamtech and Kyosho 1/18 F-1 packs I have are all pretty much dead. They give 5 minutes of juice (at most) and then die. :( Looks like 2/3 size AA cells can't stand time as well as certain full-size NiCd packs...

This is a rare occurrance for me but its actually very solid. If I had a nib chassis and bumper it would be as close to never ran as you could get. He had a full screw set and a couple parts trees, as well as most of a bearing set (luckily just missing the easy to find 4x8's!). I just finished it up about an hour ago so pics to come

Edit ...maybe a front shock tower- this one has been bent

don't get excited too quick, though! They look hypercool but they don't drive that well. I've had one as a runner since years now (the full setup with Pulsar and all), although I haven't ran it for ages (and the battery is likely dead). They do look the business but the suspension setup is anything but optimal, they are relatively heavy for the size so they are very roll-prone, and the absence of shock absorbers (they only have springs) makes them very, very bouncy... on the living room carpet they traction roll... on the kitchen tiles the they snap very soon...

Don't get me wrong, I love them, I have 3 of them, but still :) Great shelf displays, though!!! I think if you can fit oil shocks to them (ones that work , I mean) it might make a lot of difference!

I forgot I had one of these too until I saw the pics! Maybe that means I've got too much crap in the garage....
It's the Benz version though.

I'd get it running but it would probably just be a waste of my time
