Jammin'?
I picked this body up the other day for my new build in progress XX and I'm not quite sure what it is,I'm thinking it's a Jammin' Jay body?
If anyone has a pair of NIP or mint XX non graphite front arms,I desperately need some!!!
A pair of diff outdrives so I can use the correct driveshafts would be great, too.

Re: Jammin'?
Wow,thanks for that!
A ProLine Ripper X,huh?
Never heard of it,but I had to have this body,I'd never seen anything like it,before.
Pretty sure the very 1st XX I ever bought had a Jammin' body (photo below).
Yeah, the build is going OK-It'd be nice to be able to find some new front arms, though, man have they dried up.
And what's with people charging US$49 for a XX front bulkhead?!

I had trouble finding bnip front arms also. Persistance is the key! They turn up eventually. It'd be nice to be able to find some new front arms, though, man have they dried up.

As for the front bulkhead, ridiculous profiteering. Try sabulatech.com

Re: Jammin'?
Yeah - just stripped down my XX after a tough few months of racing for it & found that I'd broken the front bulkhead (across the upper hingepin) - but luckily I had already found a spare (a white one) from an online shop in Japan for the RRP
The last time I looked Sabulatech were out of stock
Front arms as you say seem almost impossible to find - a pair of RPM ones have just sold on ebay UK but I brought the last original spec pair of arms that were for sale on there but paid more than I wanted to
This is the harsh reality of running these older cars I guess - I think I'm going to re-build my XX runner & retire it to the shelf until next year & return to running my CR2 for indoor duties over the winter.
@ Ben - do you think the clear body in the background of FasterLouder's photo is a Jammin one? - Like you I have no idea what the one is that is fitted to the car!

Re: Jammin'?
Wow,it's a Losi bod?!
A XXL? That's awesome,I have all the parts here to build one...Apart from NIP front arms, that is.
Yeah,I've got a few NIP front bulkheads stashed, crazy prices.
I don't think I could afford to run a XX,these days,my Kinwald is on the shelf,and so will this one,when it's finished.
I had 99% of the parts NIP in stock,so I thought I might as well build up a stock, non Graphite XX for the collection.

Re: Jammin'?
My XX is going on the shelf to, at the end of summer. I just can't afford to break another front arm or chassis brace or else... Sad but, that's just the way it is.

Re: Jammin'?
When I bought my first XX buggy,I guess six,or seven years ago, parts were dirt cheap and easy to find.
At that time, the hardest to find JRX era parts were just starting to get thin, about where XX parts are, now.
Hard to imagine that soon the XXX stuff will go the same way,but I guess it will.
Do a search on eBay for 'Vintage Losi' and you'll already see lots of XXX parts come up!
"Vintage Losi XXX front arms'!
Sounds silly,huh?
I guess in another 8-10 years,we'll see TLR 22/22T parts come up under a 'Vintage 'Losi' search.
I just topped my new built XXT CR G+ with a vintage body I found,I have a new body and a new decal sheet, but this body looked too cool not to use.
It'll end up on a spare parts built runner, soon.
Need to find me some XXT wheel discs,too...
Take a look at my XXT CR G+ decal sheet,it's one of my all time faves,it pops like hell!
I'm becoming a total vintage Losi decal whore.

I like your G+, very nice example, gotta love the XX platform! Get the G+ bodyshell on there and stickered up!! With all those stickers you could just paint the shell white! Hehehee
You can still get the wheel discs as a set (I got some from Horizon UK not all that long ago - let me know if you struggle).

Re: Jammin'?
Thanks,man.
The XXT CR G+ box art's pretty cool.Complicated, but cool!
I'll get around to it.
The XXT CR is all new and all stock, apart from a Trinity rear bulkhead brace, pivot block and front brace.
Horizon Hobby has a UK branch?!
Awesome!
I'm there,dude.
