I feel really lucky to have a superb local radio station. A real landmark station in my opinion as I've been across the country many times over always scanning the FM. 91.9 WFPK has a host of different DJs that each play their own style. Many other national shows mixed in weekly such as Sound Opinions and Little Stevens Underground Garage. Rolled back into Louisville today from Chicago and tuned in as I got close. For some reason, the next 2 or 3 hours really had some gems that I had not heard, as well as a few that I've been listening to for 20 years that are quite obscure. Made my day.

I grew up listening to The Guess Who because my dad is a huge fan. He has walls and walls of 60's and 70's vinyl in his basement. We started converting it to digital, but some stuff he needs to hear re-mastered and in true digital form. Makes for easy and appreciated birthday and father's day gifts. I usually mix old stuff with new stuff he might like, but would never hear if I didn't give it to him.

10 Minutes I know, but a real odyssey in sound. Worth a listen when you have 10 minutes to spare. Better very loud with recreational drugs, but I gave that up a looooong time ago...

My dad is a hardcore Vietnam vet so I also grew up on David Peel and The Lower East Side. You should fire them up to really freak out your neighbors. Along with scr8p's selections this is a very great and widely varying page. All great music though.
