Re: B4.5
I'm an AE guy, if they haven't made the B4 replacement yet- I'm going to try this out for some improved handling in the mean time-
I forgot to add that the Kyosho driver that trumped me with the RB6 was running a 7.5, and I was running a non boosted 13.5- so I hope that the corner speed improvements will make up the difference of that

Re: B4.5
Looking forward to some pics of this! Very cool!
With this mod a guy could probably pick a body going in (like a Durango dex210 for example) and probably lay out the chassis sides to fit like a glove.

Re: B4.5
Alrighty...found me a T4 chassis (part #7440) on eBay for about $20 shipped, so now for the prep. I guess I need to make me one of those cutting tools. Looks like it will make things a little easier.
What type of adhesive did you use? JB Weld?
Luckily, I already have a 22 body that will fit my new chassis.
This is going to be so much fun!
Any tips?

Re: B4.5
Cut the sides off of the chassis, then reversed the right and left sides in the front so the bend is in instead of out. Then cut and placed the rear portion and tacked them with CA and let it dry (off the car). Then placed the completed sides on with a clamp and applied JB with a syringe along the inner chassis. Let dry for 2 days, then cut the extra chassis (flat portions) off and sanded it up.
Re: B4.5
Cool thanks for the tips, I'll probably have a few more Q's once I actually start.
BTW, What JB Weld would you recommend I use? Im not really all that familiar with their products. I've used epoxies before, but not for something like this. And where can I find a syringe?

Guy that hangs out behind the bowling alley?SluggoV2 wrote:And where can I find a syringe?

Hobby stores often have them for the airplane guys. I believe Sig is still the brand. I don't know if TAP plastics is national or not, they have them. I also think you would be able to source them at a hardware store
As far as the JB weld, I only know of 2 types- a standard and a 4 minute. The longer the set time the better IMO

Re: B4.5
I get to test it tomorrow on the same track I ran the full T4.1 carbon chassis last week, I'm going to try one round with the exact same tires I ran last Wed- then some AKA'sBo Wallen wrote:And i go for the chassis, serial #0003, sent to me here in New YorkJK Racing wrote:I want chassis, serial #0002, sent to me here in CA.
Let's see what kind of a difference there is before everyone cuts up chassis!

the guy behind the bowling alley was fresh out... but he did offer up some used ones....
I found the syringes online Monoject 412...
I don't need 50, so I'll check hobby lobby, and if no luck there, I'll ask my dentist for one when I go for my check up next week.
