the bolts on the side links are ASSOCIATED Upper Suspension Arm Screws with OFNA Concave 3mm Washer. Yes they are to keep the links from coming off the balls. I have had them pop off when Racing, I used the ASC screws because their longer than the Losi screws, they go all the way through the mount. and no I am not into Smurfs.
I just like blue and wanted something a little different. I have never seen a Jrx2 in any color their always black. Losi's are not like RC10's they never made a ton of aftermarket parts for them. (Losi got it right in the box  ) and I have had and seen plenty of regular Jrx2's over the years, theirs just not that much you can do to make them stand out or be different. when I bought the nip Sassy Chassis I got the Idea to have it anodized like a RC10 tub. and I was building a Blue rc10 at the time, and I am a diehard Losi guy not really a rc10 guy. the one appeal of the RC10 to me was the ability to change the color and the tub colors. when I saw the chance to build my dream jrx2 I had to go for it.

You are the man thanks for sharing I know it took a lot to admit those were Associated items. :D
This is thus far the most gorgeous Jrx2 setup I have ever seen.....the blue is awesome indeed.

I been looking for a neat-o solution to the arms popping off as well. Only I can't be in blue. So far I have 4-40 hex heads just like stock but in 7/8 of an inch in length...I'll be using a nut as well on the other side of the side bulks to prevent it from stipping out of the side bulks. But I'm trying to find black concave washers or even flat just black washers to do the same job your blue ones are doing. It's tuff to get something wide enuff diameter with small enough 4-40 hole.

For a minute there I thought you found 4-40 threads with a much bigger head. I couldnt tell u have a washer in place.
Good pickings. if u seem in black let me know.
Glad to be back in this hobby so many many years later. To see new things and to recollect on ALL cool vintage models!

I have a friend that can change the colors of any aluminum parts you have he did my chassis. and as for the ASC pars what ever works the best, I have a bunch of ASC cars I like them just fine.

Cherry man...completely cherry.

I almost bought a set of black nylons wheel nuts from Traxxas but they fit too loosely....you have a part # for those?

Can't wait to see the paint scheme.

How have I missed this!!!!

Such an awsome project - I love the colour co-ordination with the blue parts with the blue on the pro-formance-esque paint scheme & those alloy wheels... who says you can't customise the vintage Losi buggies!

P.S; why are you getting out of R/C? You must at least hang onto a few of your finest cars, which I think this one must near the top of those.
