For me this journey has been a lot of fun and for the most part has kept me busy over the years tinkering in one way or another with these historic racers. For me Schumacher cars of the 80's and 90's have always been synonomous with quality and pedigree. Building this lot has been a real passion of mine for some time and it certainly feels good knowing I can see the light at the end of the tunnel with these builds coming to a close.
This did not happen over night and would not have been possible if not for many of my friends out there (especialy my good mate Alex) who have trusted in me and traded or sold me items I have needed along the way. To them I will say a very big thank you for your help, generousity and friendship.
C.A.T SWB (display car)
Built from scratch with many new parts, good condition used parts and even hand cut and finished fibreglass sheet items such as the chassis plates and shock tower. Built as faithful to the factory original item as I could manage with the exception of polished AE gold bottom loading shocks all round. A Mr Lexan repro bodyset and Bugle driver figure, wing and even alloy wing buttons

Obviously still in need of the SWB main belt (yet to find).

C.A.T XL (display car)
Built from scratch with many new and good condition used parts. Still yet to find some nicer shocks for the rear but formthe most part this one is as close to finished as I will get it.

C.A.T XLS (display car)
Again this car like the others was contructed as close to the original factory car with many nip parts and good condition used parts. Some of the fibreglass parts were also cut and hand finished from fibreglass sheet.

C.A.T XLS 'driver'
Built with the intention to drive on the race track come 'special' vintage days. The aim was to have an XLS as faithful to the original with the addition of some optional extra's that were around back in the day.
Black anodised alloy gearbox sideplates, a WASP slipper assembly and TRINITY ball diff with alloy hex outdrives make up the rear end. Aftermarket belts were used which continue drive to the front alloy trans case which again sports alloy hex outdrives and tungsten diff balls.
A black graphite saddle pack chassis and top plate were also used and ball raced alloy steering levers keep the slop out of the steering nicely.
A very solid alloy rear shock tower with built in wing mount was also used.
I'm still yet to decide on a power plant but I have a Ko Propo CX-III currently being repaired and I have a selection of brushed motors to try out.
Although I have plenty of 2.2" wheels that i could use for this car I seriously want to stick with the chrome plated original rims and the classic tall spikes.
