Re: My SRB runner
I'm liking this! Your buggy looks like it's holding its own against the others. What were your lap times like compared to the others? I know this is a mixed question as each driver and car is different but just a rough guess please.

That could be the next little project. Thanks for the link.Rizzo wrote:yeah right! your painting is awesome!
I was thinking a cut down lexan SS shell http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/SAND-SCORCHER-BODY-VW-BAJA-BUG-BEETLE-MONSTER-/150632415894?pt=Radio_Control_Vehicles&hash=item2312644296 sit it real low over the chassis & trim the guards back to clear the 2.2 inch wheels. Even do it in the exact same paint scheme as your RR type shell.
That would be cool!
Re: My SRB runner
The lap times were a little slower mainly cause of the weight disadvantage. It also didn't have quite enough steering lock due to the 2.2 front wheels. I'll probably put wild one wheels on it next which will work perfectly.slotcarrod wrote:I'm liking this! Your buggy looks like it's holding its own against the others. I ended up retiring the car in the finals due to my speed control playing up.. It was a Mamba Max from Castle, set in brushed mode and for some reason it was cutting in and out at full throttle.. I have it in my T4 at the moment and its working fine... Go figure?
Next year it will be faster.

I decided to change because my Zerda needed some long shocks.tiger1 wrote:dj_kilroy why did you give up the long front shocks?
This is where the shocks went to.

Cheers,
I hope I'm living over east by next year.. If not, I'll definitely try to make it again.. Too much fun!

Re: My SRB runner
Hey guys - just wondering if anyone can tell me if there is a way to reduce the amount of slop in the front arms? It seems like there is a lot of side to side movement in the shafts that the arms attach to.
Also, what size are the stock ball studs that the turnbuckles attach to? They seem to be just a bit smaller than the stock ones that everyone else uses.
