Here is some very poor quality pics.
Is the chassis an composite craft brand or what is the brand of it.

Re: KYOSHO OPTIMA MID FULL CARBON
Sweet!
Forgot that the wing stay also can be carbonized. How thick did you make them?
I have just crafted a mid chassis but got a problem counter sunk the holes. My tools for that seems to be low quality stuff!
Thanks for the pictures and inspiration.

Re: KYOSHO OPTIMA MID FULL CARBON
Thanks.
The carbon is 2.1mm thick. I really want to make the chassis and upperplate too from carbon.
Maybe also the motorplate.
At this time I have 3 cars to finish.
Little help from the weatherman si I can stay out and make the parts.
Yes this model is superb.
Maybe I'll order an A&L conversion to this car.

What short LiPo did you test with? Sounds interesting because I have chosen the SWB platform in my thread:Jerzi wrote:I tryed to fit an short lipo under the upper plate and its fit perfectly.

Re: KYOSHO OPTIMA MID FULL CARBON
This lipo will fit that car perfectly. I have to change the servo saver, maybe I`ll trye to fit an touring car one in there so I can nicely put the servo on the left side of the car.
The chassis will be very narrow.

Re: KYOSHO OPTIMA MID FULL CARBON
I have a shorty in my ultima at the moment also: made by yokomo. It's only 28000 mah but not only short: also much lighter and slimmer than a normal pack or short pack.
I bet you could put that one against the topdeck and run the belt underneath easily; to keep all the weight really centered.
Unfortunately I've only ever seen this one in the japanese shops.

Re: KYOSHO OPTIMA MID FULL CARBON
If it is put centered against the top deck it will probably interfere with the servo arm. I'm not 100% sure though. It would be a cool solution. Even my full size Intellect IP 5000 LiPo fits height wise as it has bumps and is not that thick in the middle.Mr. ED wrote:I have a shorty in my ultima at the moment also: made by yokomo. Re: KYOSHO OPTIMA MID FULL CARBON
I think that even cross-wise over the belt could be pretty cool with the shorty: with the ESC and receiver just in front
