Runner Team with Blue Chassis
Runner Team with Blue Chassis
I spotted a runner thread over in General so I thought I'd stick my Runner up too. This alas is my only runner '10 so get treated carefully - still enough to have some serious fun though!!
I guess its fairly standard except the MIP steering, HPI wheels and tecnacraft turnbuckles. Oh, and that Bright Blue Chassis!! I have some under chassis protector on there to keep her minty.
Oh, and I know the body sucks.. but vipers were in short supply when I built this car!
You comments are most welcome

Re: Runner Team with Blue Chassis
Very nice...looks like scr8p painted the chassis...
What's the deal with all you "foreign" dudes and HPI wheels? No offense intended, it just seems like there's a large amount of overseas use of 'em. Easier to find than TQ's, Prolines, etc?

Foreign indeed... We invented you I'll have you know! (j/k - don't wanna start the next war on the pages of RCTT). As for the HPI wheels, Yes they seem to be a lot easier to find, possibly due to the early mid 90s HPI importer being more active than the Associated one. I'd rather run these on the runner than TQs as I have a whole load of them rescued from a bargain bin.
I also have some VERY retro 3 spoke Schumacher wheels for RC10, I'd love to find another set as mine have been well run. They seemed very popular BITD, but now you never see them. Maybe Schumacher bought them all back and machined a hex in them to fit Schumacher buggies
Also, the chassis is powercoated not painted as far as i can tell...

No, I will not help you with your dorky short course truck…sorry, it’s against my religion. If it's not a 1/10 scale buggy...I don't care.

I've got some orange ones...the new hot tip for making colored parts white is Krylon Fusion white paint... Give it a try on something dyed.scr8p wrote:that's a nice runner you got there.

What did you use for the protector? I like my runners, but would like to keep the abuse to a minimum...tomstacey wrote:I have some under chassis protector on there to keep her minty.

Re: Runner Team with Blue Chassis
hey mark, I used 3M thick clear adhesive sheet. You can use associated protective sheet, but it works out a whole lot more expensive!

Re: Runner Team with Blue Chassis
I love the blue/white combo. My resto-mod GT project is going to have the scheme.
Re: Runner Team with Blue Chassis
Thanks for the tip, Tom. Car looks great and I dig the HPI 5 spokes...
