I have seen an ad very similar here in Calgary, on Kijiji. I guess there might be someone who might use the service.

I have not come across to many crazy ads myself. I do remember one guy kept re posting a traxxas slash over and over for $450.00 for just the truck missing transmitter. He stated "it was only run twice in the 3 weeks he has had it." Exact same post for 4 months! Didn't even bother to update it. Looks like he gave up though.
I thought oh what a great deal let's buy that instead of a brand new one cheaper.

Now what I find completely funny is every now and then I post that I am buying junk hobby rc cars/trucks and unwanted parts. I even list the more well known rc brands so they will hopefully understand what I am looking for. (After all I am a tinkerer and just like building stuff.) But never fails I get someone saying they have something like a mungen 1/8 scae buggy or some other higher end rc and they want somewhere from $500.00 to $900.00 for it. What part of "buying junk rc stuff" is confusing?
Then I get some one that replies with "I have a Newbright escalade that the controller got broke on I will take $60.00 for it" oh let's see 2 things one are you friends or a relitive of the guy selling the slash. What are you people doing with these Tx's? And number 2 Newbright is not a hobby rc and I am not paying $60.00 for it.

Those are examples of replies that happen more often than I would like to admit

But it has worked out for me in the past that's how I got the Widow buggy, Corally sp10, CC01 and other rc's for dirt cheap.

They know that blurry pics inspire us to drive 50+ miles to see it in person! One might see an add and say "Is that an rc10 Worlds car milled chassis, or is that just strips of servo tape residue? Hmm... better go check this out".

Funny, but if we could try to keep this thread to RC stuff that will keep it more relevant. If I posted up all the idiotic craigslist posts I find, this thread would already be 15 pages long!
