Traxxas Magazine?
So I went down to the local book store to pick up a couple copies of the June issue of Radio Controlled Car Action and what did I see on the rack?..
A Traxxas magazine?
I'm sure the haters will have a field day with this one...
I'm not kidding, every page in the entire magazine was a Traxxas product..
It may be true....Traxxas is taking over the world!!

Re: Traxxas Magazine?
Hasn't RCCA pretty much only been a Crappsas rag, at least for the past decade? I don't think I've ever seen a copy that didn't have at least one Crappsas ad on every page. Unless it was a full page Crappsas ad, then there'd be something about some other type of RC.

Re: Traxxas Magazine?
I went to Walmart yesterday and since I was not with the wife I went to the magazine section and picked up what I though was an issue of RCCA. As I started to flip though it all I could think about what wtf, its all Traxxas! Then I looked and yeah it was Traxxas magazine brought to you by RCCA. As others have pointed out, not much difference from a regular RCCA where half the magazine is traxxas ads. Thats exactly why I dont subscribe to it.

Re: Traxxas Magazine?
Man i remember when they had their yearly best of yearly thing. The had the Traxxas 4 tec listed as the best touring car, when it was no longer even in production!!! Sadly the days of Steve Pond and Chris Chianelli are long over.

Re: Traxxas Magazine?
they are all biased, they aren't allowed to give bad reviews because they are reviewing their advertisers products.
out of them all i find rc driver to be the best written.

Re: Traxxas Magazine?
I too noticed that RCCA has gone Traxxas. Gone are the days when I would wait for the latest issue of RCCA to show up in my mailbox and it was filled with new cars, home built quarter scales, new parts from small mom-pop manufacturers and interesting rc events (Thunderdome, the Whip, RC Pulling Nationals, etc...). I can even remember when they did comparisions between 3 or 4 cars and actually picked the fastest vehicle. Those were the days....

Re: Traxxas Magazine?
They not only don't want to piss off their advertisers, they don't want to piss of the sponsors giving them the free products. Sponsors and advertisers can be one in the same thing, but not always.kaiser wrote:they are all biased, they aren't allowed to give bad reviews because they are reviewing their advertisers products.
