Vintage -- Futaba FP-T2F transmitter -- Brown Box
Just scored this gem on eBay and had to share some pics. My first car was a RC12e and my first transmitter was a Futaba FP-T2F. This one's in mint condition, looks like it was never used. Most racers ended up mounting a pistol grip on the back and my "runners" have aftermarket electronics that allow dual-rate adjustment for the steering.
When I get really ambitious I'll convert one of my runners into a replica of the transmitter I used at the 1982 Worlds which was unfortunately lost in one of my moves in the mid 80's. For that transmitter I stripped the brown krinkle finish off, painted it white, added blue & green stripes, RC500 steering wheel with Cat Paw tire, and a pistol grip mounted on the back side. Photos on that later... for now, enjoy this time capsule!

Better yet, you should put 2.4 ghz ineternals in the radio and show up at the local track with it.

Looks like plenty of room in there for the internals of a 4PK

From brown box to black box. Got this Robbe Race PSW 3 transmitter some weeks ago what uses same case and mechanics but is FM instead of AM.
Don´t know exactly when the original FP-T2F was released (maybe 1974) but this Robbe version was from 1979.
