Here is another buggy I put together over the weekend. I don't really have a runner so the chassis was built up to be used and will have electronics in it soon. I also wanted a base to see how this ski kit looked. We are supposed to get a bunch of snow the next few days so I might have to try it out. The kit comes with an adapter to mount a second set of wheels but I only have one set of these paddles. Might try to find an adapter to mount the predator tracks as well. The body will be a parma eagle which I thought would look cool with the skiis. The Andy's body was borrowed off another buggy for the pics. In the summer I'll mount some tires up. The front skiis are a decent design and they have a stop built in so the skiis won't flip over if you jump it.
That looks cool. Looks like it may push a little! I would see if you could scrape up a pair of steering knuckles with the most amount of castor available to help it turn a bit.
Ha, Was just lookin at a kit for those skis at the LHS still hangin there this morning. Was debating if it was worth the effort and put in on pass til I seen an actual setup. Looks great! Let us know how it handles... might be heading back to the LHS now.

Do you remember how much they were, and did they have more than 1 kit? I would love to get a set.
I remember seeing those skis all the time in the RCCA ads and thought they were neat but seeing the actual parts mounted on the car look significantly different than the pic on the label. They look pretty flimsy and I don't know if I'd run them.

The tracks are made by RC4wd.
Way back when one of the Reader's Rides from RCCA was a Fox that had a set of skis made out of Jetfire's red thrusters. To this day I can still remember it because that was my favorite Transformer.
