I'm brand new on here, first post. I have been reading your thread, and it has helped me a great deal with my resto project. My question is did you sand, (and if you did what paper?) or did you just clean the chassis and chassis parts, and have them powder coat it?
Thx Mike

Hey Mike, and welcome.
I did some light sanding only to some of the deeper scratches with some fine grit sand paper dont recall what number I used, I kinda worked it in stages, coarse to fine. Then all parts were media blasted by the shop that did the powder coating.

Really? You sure? Got a link to the auction?romulus22 wrote:Looks like I found out what happened to this nice restoration job. Being parted out on eBay right now
I sold this to a guy on e-bay back in February and I couldn't imagine that he would part it out. He was very pleased with it and said it would stay on his shelf. But guess you never know.

EDIT: You are correct, Found the chassis and a few other parts. Looks like the guy I originally sold it to kept a few parts, then sold the car and in turn looks like it was then sold again. Kinda bums me out after all the time I put into it.

As soon as I saw the chassis I knew I recognized it. Then I identified some of the other parts. I saw your original auction. Couldn't believe someone would take apart such s nice car that someone put that much time into putting together.
