My Topcat Runner
Just a stock Topcat with stainless hex head hardware and ceramic diff balls for durability. I run this one around the yard and such so I was not concerned with perfection. I have all the revised front end parts and a composite craft chassis which will turn into a shelf queen at some point.

Re: My Topcat Runner
Topcat is the 1st car I raced in competition back in 1989 or so. I was the only one who had one that I ever saw at the track. I remember breaking the front end a lot but luckily I had met Cecil Schumacher at the big hobby show here working the booth for the hobby shop I worked at, and for some reason we hit it off and he gave me the car and all the parts I needed.

Re: My Topcat Runner
Cool car & cool story! I've met Cecil a few times - he's a real nice guy!
The TopCat was my first proper compeition R/C car too (After a Tamiya Hornet & a Mardave Meteor (budget British buggy).... I broke the front end alot too - ironically it was the peg that the crash back bands wrapped around that seemed to break the most

Re: My Topcat Runner
Makes sense to me. It's always the little odd thing that breaks. I learned years ago with a parts box full of extra a-arms, shocks, gears and an entire parts car it would be the one part I did not have that would end my day. Usually the last thing you would think of, like the right size allen wrench
