Cool. I was wondering who got that. I wanted it pretty bad, but I already have too many other things on the list right now. After seeing your mock-up and Woobies car, I'm wondering if I made the right choice LOL. Can't wait to see what you do with it.

Re: ascot sprinter
I ran it a couple years ago.....long story short, I was in a school parking lot at night. It was lit up pretty good with the big lights all around, and I was showing it to my 8 year old (at the time.) It ran pretty good.....good speed, controlled pretty good, and on the last lap around the parking lot, some idiot soccer mom came blasting through the parking lot in her SUV and ran the damn thing over!!! Luckily, she ran over top of it, and her one tire only ran over one of the rear wheels on the Sprinter. The wheel was in a hundred pieces, but the tire was still good, so I put it on a new wheel, painted them blue, and it has set ever since.

Re: ascot sprinter

that story reminds me of this story.................
one of my lhs's has been around since the early 60's. the owner has a new built, never used bruiser that's been sitting in the showcase as long as i can remember. so anyway, he was telling me that around the same time he built that one, his son built one. when finished, he took it outside for it's maiden voyage. as he was going down the street, a fairly larger girl came flying out of an alley on a bicycle, and rode right over top of the truck. he hadn't even turned the wheels or put the thing in reverse. i don't remember what all he said was broken on it. i'll have to ask him again sometime....................

Re: ascot sprinter
when i was a kid i was running my 10 in the street showing it off to a neighbor kid and i ended up getting my front wheel ran over from tryin to run my car next to the car of some lady who was pulling out of her driveway... i remember it taco'd the wheel a little bit and split apart the wheelhalves, but it was salvageable.
i about crapped myself when it happened, and after that i got a bunch of crap at school for being a dumbass.
anyway, nice sprints.

This Xray T1 got munched on it's maiden voyage.
I didn't even run a full pack through it. I made the mistake of letting my neighbor drive it. he ended up giving me some money for it. Never the less, he doesn't ask to drive my cars anymore

It had a slight disagreement with the rolling tires of a Ford Expedition and obviously the Expedition won.Asso_man! wrote:holy crap, that T1 is, how to say it... dead? How did he do that
