allow myself, to introduce... myself.

Post by jon burrows »

just wanted to introduce myself and an old friend, my RC10 buggy (circa. 1986?). Im from the NYC area, and until i found rc10talk, i was looking for a micro to bash. well, needless to say i bought 2 micros that have since been sitting on my desk collecting dust as i've been trying to resurrect my buggy, a much better decision i think! It has had so many modifications that i dont even know what it is anymore but cant wait to get her moving again. i located my old b stamp gold pan and it is swiss cheese! so i bought a used a stamp off ebay, striped the anodizing and trying to decide how to refinish it. just cant make up my mind on restoring to all its 1980 glory or building a modern racer with her.
so, there it is. i'm very glad to hear that there is so much interest and nostalgia for 80's r/c, especially team associated! looking forward to perusing all the valuable information you all have made available, and hopefully bring whatever knowledge and info i may have of to the group. oh yeah, and of course, getting the buggy to scream again!
BTW...thank you all for keeping the old school rc10's spirit going!
