I D this pleaase

Post by Toypainter »

I picked this up at a swap meet. I know it's Traxxas, but not sure exactly what I have. Blue Eagle? All the pics of those I have seen have all white parts. I know the arms have been dyed, but the trans and bulkhead look like they are molded black. And what about that ESC tray? Traxxas option? Aftermarket? The anodizing color matches the motor plate...
Thanks for any info you can give.

It appears to be a blue eagle chassis. There are 2 body mounts on the rear which distinguishes it from the blue eagle-ls, which does not have 2 rear body mounts. As far as the esc control mount I think it is aftermarket. I do not remember Traxxas making these.

if the bottom picture is what you are calling a esc mount then its a traxxas item. Believe it to be a traxxas bulkhead type brace of some sort...let me go look at the parts chassis to see if I can find it...

its a rear shocktower/bulkhead brace for the hawk/hawk2, radicator/rad2 cars. It connects to the plastic tub chassis just in that position on their plastic tubs. Not needed for anything but if you can use it for a ESC then bingo. Someone took the time to re-annodize it though since I think they only came in black or gold.

Thanks Todd. I never had any tub style chassis cars, so that never crossed my mind.
