Starting a brand new thread for this one, I got a killer project for that chassis I bought at first mainly for the Tecnacraft turnbuckles and the Graphite chassis. When I received the lot yesterday, I was pretty amazed and surprised because the picture and the description of the auction were a bit "shady". As you can see, the car has been modified for dirt oval racing. It features already Robinson Racing adjustable rear toe-in mounts, front RR Castor Steering Controls System, an awesome aluminium steering anodized black (did Losi made those in black too???) and (custom?) machined servo posts. A good start I can say. I'll tear it down, clean it the best I can, replace some of the parts and add amazing hop-ups that are just waiting to be used. But that's it for now, I'll unveil the rest step by step...

That is coming along very nicely. Looks like a nice clean build. On mine I so wanted to use the robinson adjustable rear mounts but it interferred with the reer bumper piece.
Did you recognize the shock towers you sold me a long time ago? It seems they were waiting for this partciular moment
As for the RR rear toe-in blocks, they were already installed and that additional rear hole in the chassis had to be useful but indeed, no more place for a rear bumper, unless you hack it... The other problem I noticed with those is that they are higher than the stock ones and apparently you have to cut a piece of the motor plate to fit them (at least that is what the previous owner did). More to follow...

I wondered if they were from me or not. That buggy is going to turn out sweet. Are you going to dye the gearbox to match the other parts?
I'll build it first with all the parts I want to be on it, then I'll see what has to stay as is and what has to be changed... I'll most probably change the motor plate for a black one, or polish this one. Poll?

Ok guys, the build-up has resumed today. I feel a bit sad as this is probably one of my last RC10 projects, that explain the many photos and details, I want it to be the "ultimate" in every sense of the term. So, I changed the rear arms for some new RPM ones as the Andy's were a bit slaughtered with too much scuffs IMO. I added the Robinson Racing front steering system (this really do the trick, gotta love that hop-up!), the famous Tecnacraft turnbuckles and some RPM black ballcups. I defo plan to install a black motor plate, but that will take some time as I don't have the necessary tools at home. I'll now work on the shocks. Enjoy!

It now is on shocks, black MIP shocks! The fronts are even fitted with MIP gold shafts. I also added the custom machined alu servo posts that came with it and a Parma mini front bumper I had laying around. Impressions, suggestions, comments are more than welcome...
