New here... Got some questions about my rc10
I just found this forum the other day and I have some questions about restoring my rc10 team car. I bought it new in about 91 or 92 and ran it and raced locally for about 5 years. It's been sitting ever since about 1997. I want to put some new electronics and batteries in it. Been thinking of going brushless but I need to read up on it some more. A lot has changed from when I used to run. The car is in good mechanical shape but I wanna freshen some spots up. I c that parts are gettin hard to find. My rear hubs are loose, so do I need new hubs or just bearings? I was gonna get a whole new bearing set and pull the stealth tranny apart and rebuild it too. Can I make the arms from the newer cars fit on it cause I want to put the bigger wheels on it? I'll prolly rebuild the shocks and paint the shock towers again to make them look better. Not looking to race, just for backyard bashing but I wan it to be able to go faster than it did before.

There's plenty of threads on here about putting B4 wheels onto your buggy. You'll need to switch out your axles and hubs I believe. You can try searching 'B4 wheels' under 'vintage forums.' JC Racing products also makes 2.2" wheels that fit the older 1/4" axles.
RPM makes arms for the vintage RC10s. I also hear a lot of guys talking about Klein arms, but never run 'em myself. Pretty much every part on the stealth is still made but the case. The steering yokes are discontinued, but Atlas still makes some hop-up steering, and there's usually a few different bellcrank upgrades for sale on eBay.
One tip I'd say on buying a brushless system is to make sure you buy it as a system. Usually save a few bucks over the motor and ESC separately. If you don't need a fancy system, there's tons of brushless setups ripped from RTR B4's on eBay for under a hundred. I'm not the guy to ask about brushless since I just upgraded to it this month myself! If you join Tower's club, they run mega coupon sales every two weeks or so, you don't have to wait long.
Good luck, and welcome!

Re: New here... Got some questions about my rc10
I just noticed that my rear axles are pretty worn. I guess I'll find some new axles and hubs and run the newer rims
