TQ10 - Period Racer Build

Post by scr8p »

so i got this tq10 from aaron sometime last year, might even be longer than that. but anyway, it's an early car, in pretty decent shape. compared to the last 3 tq10's i've had, this chassis is by far the nicest. last summer, i got all of my used white parts together for a massive peroxide bath. the nicest stuff was set aside for restos and replicas, this is getting the best of what's left. i had thoughts of running this in the classics class at the vnats if i get there this year. being as though it might be raced, i didn't want to use really nice stuff on it. but, i don't think it'll be "stock" enough by the time i'm done anyway.

so here is where it's at right now.

i originally had a set of factory towers on it that i had dyed black. they looked good on there, but a couple weeks ago, slapshot hooked me up with the matching front cf parma tower to go with the rear i've had for many years. so i had to put them on it instead. :)

last year, i got a whole bunch of old style shocks re-ano'd. so, since i have no gold sets left  , these will be going on it.

now for tires and wheels. aaron hooked me up with a new set of hot pink imex 2.1 front/2.0 rear rims, and a new pair of imex (schumacher) 2.0 spiked rear tires. the 2.1 proline dirt flirts came from shane... quite some time ago.

electronics are a little up in the air. but after i rewire it, this pink tekin esc is going in it.

that's it for now. :)

Nice! 8) You're really building the stable back up! Are those chassis rigid or what!? Hong Kong Phooey himself couldn't break one of those things. That one looks great. :D
